As long as we're clear here

Let me get this straight.

USC is facing possible NCAA sanctions — possibly severe — for violations in its basketball and football programs. So it hires Lane Kiffin to be its new football coach — the same Lane Kiffin whose program in one year at Tennessee was cited for six rules violations and is under investigation for its use of student hostesses in recruiting?

OK then. Just as long as we're clear.

What seems clear to me is that, perhaps USC had run short of innovative concepts in its program and could see the need for some outside expertise. Heck, between the sports world and Wall Street, maybe they could rewrite the book and history by introducing more creative ways to win. But wait, it can only be viewed as success if a few benefit in some grand financial way at the expense of a bunch of chumps, i.e. the rest of the populace that has moral turpitude.

Oh well, maybe their trips down the River Styx will end with them being provided with warm seats in a very warm place.....forever.
